bilge pumps

anyone use one of these to fill backpacks etc,

yes they are awesome for how cheep they are just connect the two wires to the battery terminals and away you go, ,they really are very very good, as long as you have a lay flat tank

are the float switches any good ? not to put in the tank, just to use as a normal switch. is it just a backpack type 12v battery you use ?

i just use one without o float switch from ebay mate and yeah that battery will be fine i was just putting the wires on my main barrery

Buy the 1100 gph bilge from ebay I use an old wcw backpack to power my pump just switch it on and off with the backpack switch .

I love these great for fitting in your tank to drop the water out of it on the way to the weigh bridge  ;)

Ive left mine in the tank permanently and I know others do too .
I use it to fill my backpack takes litterally less than 30 seconds to fill up .
