So while we were developing the hot system, I thought "why not?" and asked GrippaMax if they would like to develop a pole rack system together, and they said yes, so again, we set to it, trying to find a workable, and versatile system to securely store our poles and access them easily for work.

Here is the latest incarnation:




Again, prototype models, being tested currently with 4 poles in our T5, and been in a month or so, and do exactly what they should.

Don't get me wrong, I used down pipe for years, however, had issues with base cap getting caught, and with staff not being quite as gentle as they could, brackets getting broken. Poles slide through them also.

Also getting clearance for the lip on the rear doors was an issue on quite a number of vans. With this system it sits low enough to get poles in and out without manoeuvring up and under the roof lip.

I prefer the tube as hose doesn't get hung up on hooks and I don't have to support the pole to line up with rear hook and place it in.

Just shove it in and go.

Not about over engineering, it's about taking an existing idea and improving on it.

Not about over engineering, it's about taking an existing idea and improving on it.

Sorry but I don't see where the improvement is. Especially for the extra cost.
