Without being baffled its highly dangerous. im sure some people modify them though.

You could fill it with baffle balls. Not cheap though. I am sure there are other DIY baffles.

Don't think the baffles are the problem so much - more like the cage probably wouldn't be up to the job.

Having said that, there's a guy with 1000 in the back of his near me.

I had a 650 in the back of a Peugeot Expert.
Sloshes a bit but it was fine.
'Highly dangerous'? Any vehicle is highly dangerous.

Driving appropriately, a 1000l IBC is fine, if properly secured.

I don't have a IBC, but I do carry 1050Ltrs because I only return home every few days to fill up. I have a 650Ltr and 400Ltr upright baffle tanks. The 650 is perched higher than the 400 as it's got a 40mm waste pipe as an overflow from the 650 to the 400 which helps when filling up. I built my own cradle/frame out of 2 by 2 for them.

Our smaller van has a 600 ltr IBC fitted and I used 25 meters of perforated soil pipe 80mm diameter and get no slosh whatsoever ( much better than the standard wyvale baffled tanks )

Unfortunately the baffle balls don't fit in the opening!

When full they weigh 1,030 kg. They're only designed to be used once - full up - then returned.

we use to pick these up for a  factory and I would use either my old 190 transit or the twin wheel 430 we had both of these held the weight better then the new single wheel jobs and lets  just say this it would rock you to sleep when stopping , it pushes you forward when pulling up , you have to have your eyes peeled at all times incase someone pulls out in front of you because your not going to stop

however 1000 lt in a baffled tank is great and if driven normal you will never run into problems as long the van can handle the weight we run 1000lts and 1200lts tanks all baffled up love them

Yes just coiled up inside - it has no surge at all

I carry 1000 ltrs in 2 500 baffled tanks and its rubbish at 2/3rds full you get loads of slosh

The best tank I've seen are those 900 ltr d shaped tanks that have proper baffles inserted inside them

I B C in a van are a no no! The slop is a problem when driving as well as the frame. You will find it difficult to get it insured.
Why use a I B C when proper tanks are reasonable priced.
