Acgood jet wash in and out and as rg has already said cover them over or place them in a shaded area

I did find when I was using them day in day out the water never went green even in the summer ( didn't have time to settle )

Find someone with a swimming pool.  Get a small jar of their chlorine powder (or buy a lifetime's supply, 2kg for £10-£12).  Put a level teaspoon (level it with a knife, should be about 4g) in a full IBC.  It'll raise your TDS to about 3 but you can use it.  Every 1000 litres that go into your IBC for the next couple of weeks, put half as much in (so about 1/4 teaspoon).  Algae will disappear.

It'll also kill off any legionella in there, which is no bad thing.
