If you are cleaning the canopy, you should be cleaning the filters as it part of the same job.
Are you talking about commercial kitchens or domestic canopies?

Yes we do clean the filters on maintenance cleans
Im looking info on large scale cleaning service cleaning maybe 50/60 filters a day. its not really how to clean a filter that i need help with, its best method of cleaning on large scale that im looking advice on, just want to bring the service in house for our own use on maintenance cleans and also be able to offer it as a laundry type service to customers for weekly/monthly cleans,

Filters are generally cleaned 3 monthly or 6 monthly
If the kitchens are large and very busy then they occasionally have filters cleaned monthly
but not many do agree to this.
You are better off cleaning them onsite rather than taking them away as it wont be economically viable to take and bring back.
and you would also have to make sure the same filters go back into their original canopy.
Some filters are made to fit.
You would also need to use different methods of cleaning for different metals and types of filters i.e baffled or wire.
You cant use certain chemicals on alloys or aluminium frames.
A small team or even 1 person should attend site and hand clean them in the kitchen sinks in stages.
If you price to clean filters each time you clean the kitchens then there is no need to
worry about a filter cleaning service as kitchen cleans include this anyway.
If you clean a kitchen 6 monthly, offer to clean the filters 3 monthly in between each kitchen clean.
If kitchen clean annually, clean filters 6 monthly.
If kitchen clean quarterly, offer to clean filters monthly
That's all that's needed.
We actually clean the filters and machine scrub the floors in between kitchen cleans.
This is more of an incentive for the client to have it done and more worthwile for us.

Thanks for your feedback Tim it's appreciated, we currently have several large customer who have over100 sites that we clean on a contract basis a lot of these we hold replacement filters in stock to be fitted on regular canopy clean which we then send out to be cleaned by an outside contractor, this is something that we our now considering taking in house,
I'm really looking advice from any company who carry s out this type of service on a large scale .

Where is your company based?
What areas do you cover?
