I've got one of those run of the mill metal hose reels with the petal shaped sides.
I think my one is over 3 year old.
One good thing I like about them is that you can buy most of the spare parts for them fairly easily from suppliers.
I recently over hauled it a couple of months ago, to be honest most of the parts I replaced on it were still ok, as it was only really the centre spindle that needed replacing due to being slightly rounded off on the handle end due to wear and tear.
But I took the opportunity to replace and renew the water connection fittings including the brass flexible elbow, and bought a spare handle just incase the old original one ever broke.
I think they are brilliant value for money considering how much use my one has.
