Canvassing progress
« on: August 08, 2013, 08:27:57 pm »
So i picked up two more custys today. Both 8 weeklys but fair sized jobs! Ive no more time for canvassing this week but iv'e decided to start this topic to make it public that i'm gonna canvass a full round and update my progress on here as and when.

I think it will be interesting to see how long it takes one man door knocking to accomplish this in what alot would consider a "saturated area"

Thanks for reading

George

Good stuff gb. hit the doors twice a week getting 2/3 customers each time you will gain loads of extra income in no time.
Make sure you keep updating.

Its hard to explain on here but when i canvass as well as trying getting them as a customer i also talk them as if they have already agreed before they do if you know what i mean. Eg "hi just the local wc i do many of your neighbours but am yet to get you on the books(slight pause) im guessing you would like a monthly wc its only £10 a month for the fron and ill be doing them on such and such a date".
Normally if you get that far into your sales pitch the customer is putty in your hands. Make them laugh at the door or pay there house or car a compliment and also be in control of the conversation without feeling nervous( it takes a good few months of regular canvassing to achieve the feeling of being in control to switch them into a customer but you will feel better in yourself and much more confident at the door naturally and will find yourself being cheeky and making them laugh without realy trying.
the worst pitch in the world for maybe/have you got a card etc is simply asking hi do you need a window cleaner although that will still get results.
The idea is to be a little different to the rest which is what i do in as many aspects as i can in our game to achieve the best results and best business you can build.

My pitch at the minuete is... " Hello/good morning/evening etc... Local window cleaners canvassing the arera did you require/need a service at the moment?"

Thats it. then wait for the, "no" and the occasional, "How much" "yes" ;)

GB-where are you canvassing out if interest? Lincoln central or villages?

Also, do you know who does 'Brayford Wharf' and the University?

It's just the internet. Try not to worry.
