a bit of an oversight of gardiners not to register it themselves, but very underhand of facelift, and smacks of desperation.

A local rival window cleaner did something similar with my web address. He also had my name as a tag word for his site on Google searches.

No big deal, I did the same to him.

It's the most obvious form of cyber squatting you are ever likely to see. Get screenshotting the websites/address bars and consult a good www lawyer. This kind of thing makes me mad from previously being a victim of it.

Whether legal or not is irrelevant to me.  I won't be buying anything from facelift over this - ever.  It's known as shooting themselves in the foot.  Scumbags.  It's not because they targetted Gardiner's in particular.  It's because they are attempting to steal custom from another company by deception.  It's the same reason I doubt I'll ever buy an Ionics pole.  The way they describe/allude to pole lengths gives the appearance of attempted deception - though is no doubt perfectly legal.

Testament to Alex's success though that they are so worried.

I won't be giving them a penny in the future in the shape of facelift or WCW.

Just strengthens my support for Gardiners.
