vikan cill brush
« on: August 03, 2013, 08:18:58 am »
Bought a vikan stiff cill brush the other day for a filthy cladding job today. got to the job and the brush thread is different to the pole thread!! Ive got a clx. I ht all poles and brushes were interchangable.. well i thought MOST would be pretty interchangable?
I got a softer vikan brush when i bought the pole and that fits perfectly.

Any tips for an onsite bodge to get the brush on? Ive got no glue either  ;D

All I can think of is to ram it in and wrap some electrical tape round it...
Where is the job, if you post that someone may be near who could help you out?

creative....i like your style..

jobs in Falkirk. Only bought the stiff vikan to do cladding. It cam recommended and looks to be a good brush for what i need albeit a bit heavy. Using the softer brush now.

cheers anyway.

P.S G101 is the nuts on cladding.

Is yours all red mate? like in the link below?

Thats where i got it from.

Also, i noticed the jets are huge, and when i got it, the ''Y'' connector that connects to the pole hose was too small for my pole hose  :-\

All in all not a great purchase  ;D

You have to tell Gardiners if using Vikan, they sell an adapter or special fitting (if I remember correctly).

Quote from Alex: -
"If you do want to work with a Vikan you would need to let the sales team know so that we make sure the fitment that goes out is compatible."

I have this brush and use it with Gardiners poles. It connects to a Gardiners Resineck but I told them it was for Vikan's when ordering.

As it goes it's a good brush when needed, certainly stiff enough.
