Question on extremes..
« on: August 01, 2013, 12:19:33 pm »
Am I right in thinking If I bought an extreme 35 and end caps to fit sections 6 and 7 I could remove sections 6 and 7 and work with it as a 25 ( I know it won't be insulated) and If I want a 30 I add section 6 back on and if I want it back to a 35 section 7 gets whipped into service?

Yep, that's right. If you intend to use it as a 25 quite a lot of the time, then it would be worth buying the 25 base section imo. Not absolutely necessary though.

I can smell an order for a 35 getting slipped in when er indoors isn't looking…. Ill slip it on the van.. To her a pole is a pole is a pole… I did that when I was acquiring my shotguns. To her all I had in my hand was a tube with a brown bit on the end.. then one day she looked over my shoulder and saw there were 5 tubes with brown bits in my cabinet…  :oLol . Lesson learnt. Always look behind you…  ;D

Perfectly possible if u don't mind adding and taking away sections during your working day.

25 extreme now gets used for most work up to 3 storey.anything higher then I just grab the 47 out of the van.more expensive my way but saves time and the 47 should last a long time as it doesn't get used half as much as the 25.
price higher/work harder!

What's the 35ft Extreme like at angles of around 25 degrees for reaching over deep extension roofs etc.?
I have a 25ft slx with 2 extensions to go to 35ft.
On high stuff it's not bad at all, but at lower angles it bends like a banana.  ::)roll
I presume the extreme would be totally different and far stiffer?

Buy a cap so you can work with it as an 18'
12 years in and I only use 18' and 30' poles for domestic and private commercial.
Dont use more weight than you have too

Good thinking.. Like it.. It just seems that at the current price it provides an awful lot of options..

Still bends just not as much  ;) But is lighter to hold at that position. All poles bend, my Extreme still looks like a bannana when cleaning solar panels. Theres a fair bit of flex from the clamp bodies too. Can't avoid it.

Yeah Scrimble, that's what I've done when the sale was on. I got myself the Xtreme 25 and twin extension packs upto 44'. What a great set-up. Well chuffed with it.
