hi ian i use fan jets but still like a much higher flow it went down a bit when changing from 8 mil to 6 hose so i though if i use 7l pump it should be better i have just bough one so well see i dont use a controller like my pumps to go straight to battery :-) does this sound about right to you bud i now have a flowjet 60 psi 3 sureflows 100psi and a vyair 100 psi lol i like to have some spares and play around with different equipment to look for that little extra speed
Hi Michael Have you seen the article in the July WCM magazine
http://www.windowcleaningmagazine.co.uk/html/magazines.html page 23. Perry explains the very effect you are describing.
By switching to 6mm you may actually reduce flow. Perry describes it as hose wall friction - "it is the effect of the sides of the tube on the water flow in the tube. The closer the walls are, the greater the effect of the walls on the flow."
The Chen pump will help create higher flow per minute simply because it will push more water. You could also combine the 60PSI pump with a larger bore hose and smaller jets as this will make the water travel faster and give the appearance of higher flow
Out of interest do you have a manual tap on the pole that allows you to adjust water flow between the agitate and rinse cycle?
