I agree, but money is an object to most of us, just for fun I added up the current price of Daz's poles with hose and hose tails = £1,836.45 !  but if your lucky you do get a free baseball cap with that

I suffered from this a few years ago whilst working wfp , after a painful cortisone injection made no difference my doctor suggested I try a capsicum based cream, within a week or so the tennis elbow cleared up and never returned. Check the link below , it maybe some use to you, Simon

i cant for the life of me understand anyone using a 40 supermax/slx all day every day.its too heavy and cumbersome to use all day for all windows.

yes i have spent a few quid on poles(£1700 on all 3 poles)due to the 47 extreme and 22 slx bought in the sale.this includes a few brushes and a 90 degree gooseneck and some quick loc fittings though)and a free baseball cap and pens!

BUT i did sell a 25 slx and 40 ft supermax for £500 so its only cost me £1200 for 3 of the best poles on the market!


my advice is DONT SKIMP on poles!if you can afford it buy the extremes.seriously guys if you do a lot of poling(of which 90% of my working day is)then it just makes life so much easier with minimum strain.

to the guy who uses a 40 ft supermax all day every day.let me know how you feel in another year or two of poling!ill guarantee youll have took a few sections off for everyday work or bought a smaller lighter pole!

I use an SLX 30 as an everyday pole. In fact it's the only pole I have/ need! I've been using it for well over a year now and never had any issues with weight or pole hose length at all. I would say it's a nice and light pole - certainly it's never given me any pains or backache since I got it! Perfect for cleaning ground floor windows all the way up to fourth storey windows. Recommended.

I don't know how you lads who work with the long poles day in day out cope with the length of the pole hose.
When my SLX 22 is closed the amount sticking out does my head in a bit.

The length of pole hose doesn't even come into the equation for me. When working from the van, I'm trailing a hose all the way back to the van anyway. When working from a trolley, the hose just sits there and doesn't move unless I want it to!

Dazmond, you don't have to understand why I use a 40 max all day long as my only pole, and it obviously isn't too heavy and cumbersome or I wouldn't be using it.My work comprises of so much variety daily, Brighton is not made up of estates with run of the mill 3 bed semi's , I really lack the enthusiasm to spend out on 3 poles of different heights and swap and change between them and goosenecks brushes etc., I am happy with the supermax to do it all, if it were to be too much, I would remove sections but to be honest that seems more of a faff and I do just fine. Each to their own, personally I would not be comfortable parting with the cash you have for what is essentially a straight forward task - cleaning a window, but that's just my opinion.When the pole has had its day, I shall replace and probably with an extreme, a little savings pot over the next year or two for this purpose would be a good idea, the extreme may even be superseded then by something even more fantastic and featherweight. By then I am sure you will want that, maybe I could buy your extreme 47 off you then ?

Its all in what you prefer.
My mate loves his mega heavy cricket bat wouldn't dream of using anything lighter.
I reckon I'm probably bigger and stronger than most on here, I'd have no trouble using a 40ft pole all day.
However as soon as I bought a lighter pole I worked faster
than previous so its my preference.

yep the 1st slx I had was a 35ft and I used every day for over 2years,i was then sold off to another guy on here


after using a brodex and unger poles when I 1st started the 35 ft slx was still a lot lighter then the other.i want say its not useable everyday but if your budget only allows 1 pole then yes buy it and use for everything

I just think people are now getting wise to the lighter poles and want lighter

bit like me with me carbon bikes
