I know that Auto Glass said earlier this year that their profits are down massively due to people not having chipped windows replaced immediately but waiting to see if it turns into an mot failure and fewer resulting cracked windows replaced due to people not driving as fast as they did due to the high fuel costs. Sounds like they might be trying to claw some money back...
