i do like it and i dont....

i like it that it looks pretty nice and the guy has owned it from new so you know he will have serviced it and everything so you look to have a safe bet with the van at a pretty good milage.

you have a nice looking thermopure system which are expensive and really handy with hot water etc.

however if you kitted a van out yourself you could get a hell of a van for 5000 these days

i would probably be a bit tempted at 5500 dints ect never bother me anymore the nicest looking vans ive had have been the worst give me a workhorse anyday.

also i never look at makes anymore i think every van is individual

Can't be a million miles off at the asking price I reckon.

The van must be worth 4ish with mileage that low...

Ring him up, tell him politely, you will be there in a couple of hours with 5 grand cash. No muckin about. He's clearly either upgrading or moving on so I think you got a good chance. Either way I'm sure he will break a sweat if he decides to turn you down.

thanks peeps some good insights there.. I think Ill go look it.. when I did the sums based on kitting out a similar aged van and putting some livery on it I came out at near that without the thermopure ..

I think the van looks naff inside  why no boarding up the sides?? why no speed lineing up the sides ?

maybe there wouldnt be any dents if the borading went right the way though out the van ?? who the hell buys a brand new van and doesn't get it kitted out from the off ??? a skin flint so if hes saved 25 pounds on two sheets of ply god knows what else hes tried to save on ??? bet it hasn't had a gearbox yet ??

No ply in my van - you don't need it, you're not carrying anything that's going to smack the sides. Don't need speedliner up the sides either. Only small advantage of ply would be slight insulation properties other than that you will be lugging unessesary weight around. I'd go have a look. Renaults can be trouble though.

Early vans of that type are known for gearbox failure especially the six speed I believe. I have a feeling they were fixed around that year or just before. Most vans have their own problems. Apart from the Hiace (can't find anything on them).

You'll pay over a grand for a purefreedom tank alone if you kitted a van out. Ionics even more.

eh no need to ?????  I wouldn't have a van that's not ply lined why would you pay over 20k  for a van and not ply it out ??? the first time something fell over and dented the van you would wish you had spent the 33 pounds on two bits of ply rather then 100 pounds on dent removal or 1500 pounds worth of side repaint

spend your money your tight gits lol

Why put speedlining up the sides too?
