Hi everyone!

Does anyone have a safe ladder use document that they use for commercial?  Or anyone know how to write one? Please email me if you do have a copy for me to look at sswindowcleaning@sky.com

have the company asked for one? I doubt they have, because if they did the eye bolts would be in place to strap the ladder in, to stop rear and side ways movement

but if they have you will need to write what measures you will take to prevent this happening, so tell us how you plan to access the roof and maybe we can think of how to word it

sorry I will try to be more helpful, I would not supply a safe ladder use document but just include my use in a risk assessment

i.e. ladder to be placed in a place with natural obstruction to stop rearward slip, also ladder to be placed in a corner to prevent sideways slip, ladder to be 2 meters above flat roof to ensure good hand hold etc, ladder to be secured at top via bungees whatever you deem fit for the job, the list is endless and unless I see the job I could not comment

Also flat roof area has to be barriered of by the building owner to stop you falling off etc,

And have a helicopter hovering overhead with a safety harness attached to you.
And have another helicopter above that in case it's engine fails.
