haha tony! ;D ;D ;D ;D

im working tomorrow then im having most of the next 2 weeks off bar the odd half days work! ;) ;D ;D ;D

yes ill be taking the old sports car out for a spin and paying a visit to the very sexy girfriend!

life is good!! ;D ;D ;D ;D

sfwc ive wasted far too much money on poles.first it was the fibre glass streamline, then the 25 ft brodex hydra, then a clx,two slx s and a supermax.

if you work on your own id say forget spending money on the others.go for the extreme.the 25 footer and 47 footer clean all my work.the difference is amazing!seriously!!

dont get me wrong the slx and supermax poles are very good carbon poles.ive still got a 22 slx but it feels like its made of lead now after using the extremes! ;D ;D ;D ;D

best wishes to you all

Hey Daz,
I dont want to big you up or blow smoke up your arris, but I have now changed to work you work.
12 years of 4 weekly has been a serious grind but monthly and a bit of condensing has got me to 18 days a month.
Also been putting up prices by a pound or two so although my turnover will be down a little, I can now plan time off.
Love the honesty of your posts and the fact you don't get twisted like some on here when we take the mick

Ain't got the fit bird or sports car though.

haha cheers tony! ;D ;D ;D ;D

we all work to suit our individual lifestyles!

heres the way i work.

i very rarely take a day off if the weather is bad unless its really hammering it down with a strong wind.my work is monthly/2 monthly mainly but gets cleaned 4 weekly/8 weekly EXCEPT when my monthly work falls due again at the end of the same month after already been cleaned at the start of the month.i just move my schedule onto the next week and enjoy the time off.

i have 350+ customers.most are monthly with some 2 monthly,some 6 weekly stand alones and the odd 3 monthly/bigger 6 monthly jobs.

i also always find time for the add ons(conny roof cleaning,fascias/soffits/solar panels etc)and  still end up having a few days off at the end of the month to relax before the next onslaught.

im very organised though and work hard.i always print invoices/statement of accounts out the night before, texts, fill date of clean on my slips etc.

9 times out of 10 i take a packed lunch and flask so i dont waste time going to the shop for something to eat at lunchtime.

i always have plenty of clean dry microfibres, scrims in the van.fill my tank up as soon as i get in from my working day and charge battery.

im like a well oiled machine! ;D ;D ;D

but by the last week of the month im ready for a few days off to recharge the batteries.i work on average 5-7 hours on the glass monday to friday and work the odd saturday if i have work to do.

also i keep track of late payers and send them a text reminder or phone them if i havent been paid via BACS/cheque 14 days after clean esp if its a 6 weekly/2 monthly job.

collecting is still a part of my ways of improving cashflow.i only go about 2 or 3 times a month for an hour or so as i have lots of very compact work which is easy to collect and only 5 miles away from home.

regards

Take the gooseneck off and get a swivel then you'll be even faster on the low windows and chuck that friggin aquadapter away!

You now have the perfect combination - sections can be swapped from one to the other in an emergency. Get rid of all the other poles - you just don't need them.

franky the new aqua-daptor XL is fantastic on a 25ft Xtreme pole.very little added weight and very easy to control water flow.

i dont have an aqua-daptor on my extreme 47 though because at these heights its better to keep the pole as it is IMO.i use a push fit pole tap. ;D ;D ;D

windiewasher i put £40 a week in the 2.5 v6 cougar compared to £15 diesel in my van for work! :( :( but i love driving it!! ;) ;D ;D ;D

dave i used a swivel for 2 days then binned it! ;D ;D ;D

i hated it!!ive used other forms of water control and nothing beats the new aqua-daptor for quickness and ease of use.i love the gooseneck as you can clean skylights/top sills much better.also i have quite a lot of work with deep sills/commercial etc.

as for adding and taking away sections when needed you havent got the insulated base section then plus the faffing about which would be better spent cleaning IMO.

so i bought an xtreme 47 for higher work. ;D ;D ;D
