I think online quoting only works if your cheap doesn't it?

I put in a lounge came out at £120 min order. That takes some selling, ie on site survey.

Be interesting to see if anyones had much though...

I registered with it but have heard nothing since. Jon put a lot of time and effort into it so I hope it works out for him.

You sure your registered, Simon. - try typing in your own postcode into the quote form - and it comes up that they have nobody covering that area :-\

I've had two jobs of it, one which made me £125 and another which made me £165.  In both cases the customer were not English and was wondering if they used the service as they could book over the internet without speaking to anyone.  Both jobs competed with no problems. :)

I'm certain I registered. I've asked Jon about it and he says he is bringing people on line gradually.

That's interesting Del, because I have got my area (KT postcodes and a bit of RH) and I haven't had one enquiry and I was one of the first to sign up.

Hi Bennymon - I signed up with Jon for Surrey, but have had no jobs from it as yet - I have sent an email to him this morning to see what is happening - I know he has spent a lot of time and effort on getting this set up and the last time we made contact he said it would take a long time to get every thing off the ground - I suggest you drop him an email and see  what,s happening - Thanks - Gary

Hi all,

Quick update.
BMCC site is live. Simon and Mark last two pages to be done. Coming very soon.
(Del, I have spoken to you about this, sorry but the long delay in all your information coming through meant your area went elsewhere, again apologies and I'm sorry you are unhappy about this but I just didn't have the time to chase everyone for information).

Initial results are a mixed bag. Some areas nothing, others are picking up work. Its not an immediate wall of jobs but that was never expected, this is something which will require some monitoring and changes in order to get it right.

Need to keep it in perspective. This is a new concept in our industry and its in its very early stages. I'm doing the work myself around my own cleaning business and I'm picking up the costs as we go along. Unfortunately there is no blueprint for immediate success, it will be trial and error to start with, but I'm confidant that the idea is something that can work our industry.

There is cost involved now for signing up. It was free before we were live as the operator pages were included with the site build. I now get charged so have to pass this on. Its a one off £50 + vat. (Non profit making for me)
The plan is to concentrate on those who did sign up initially and get those areas working well, rather than encourage more companies.

Looking at the bigger picture, good progress has been made.
Site looks good and informative.
Google optimisation is working well. (First page listings for most, if not all companies. Rank 1, page 1 in some cases)
Some work coming in from the outset.
Generating enquiries and interest although lots of price resistance. (Currently attracting the wrong sort of customer). Everyone's pages are being accessed and quotations being built, so I am working on getting these leads to convert.
( I know it seems a bit pointless if you have not yet picked up work, but having your diary up to date gives a potential customer reassurance. When they see no times or days as being unavailable It can look a bit suspicious.)

Its very easy to pick holes in this for not producing everyone immediate work but I know this for sure. When I started my own cc business it started with one job. Not a full diary.  :)

Cheers
Jon

jon what happens then if there is already someone operating in your area . Is it worth paying the £50 to register or is it one person only per area  :)

Hi Dan, At the moment the system that has been built will only allocate one company to a postcode.
There is scope to change this if it becomes necessary but the immediate concern is to get the existing network work.

Yes,  you can check on the site.
I have my own holding page on available postcodes. (It will show Jon as covering the area).

Or if you email me where you are and I'll let you know what's free near you.

Jon you told me in the first place I would gea my area and there was no hurry . I have no problem with Garry but he is not local to my area . So it is not finding you a local cleaner . At least people who go on the TACCA site will find me del
