Do you mean that the pressure switch is not cutting the pump off?

What make of pump is it?

Hi Alex  it's the shurflo, the pressure just seems to build and my digital reader that controls the water doesn't cut in with letter p, it just stays on number four and then when i switch water back on with tap near pole its like a jet wash, any ideas.

It sounds like your digital controller (sounds like a varistream) needs the calibration for the shut-off setting turning down. If you look in the units instructions it should tell you how to do this - some of these need the cover removing and a calibration switch changing, others have an external control.
