if it's not true then deny it . unless they've got evidence there's bugger all they can do about it.  :)

Theres nothing wrong with dumping the waste at home as long as it goes down the right drain, ie your foul drain not a storm drain in the road, (storm drains lead the rivers and streams)

Find your foul inspection drain, lift up the cover and run your hose into there, (foul goes the sewage treatment plants)

Regarding filling up, your not on a metre then?

There are some hefty fines for dumping down ordinary drains, like thousands ££'s, so we put it into foul drains where possible.

In fact... If you empty it out over grassland, they can't fine you either.... It is only storm drains that they get upset about...
Everyday this forum slips further from God.  :'(

The same person who shopped you probably washes his car every Sunday with soapy water and where does that go, but of course because everyone does it nothing is said.
It's not expensive, you just can't afford it.

Unless theres photgraphic / video evidence you are fine. Just remember next time you go to fill at home......DONT and remember not to empty waste anywhere other than a s ewer drain.

Simon.....Do you remember the letter Glynn got regarding the waste water :)

I recon we're going to come increasingly under more scrutiny from the water companies. I have an issue with mine, I do wheelie bin cleaning and it's the law for the water company's to grant you a license in order for you to dispose of the wash water down a sewer drain. When the company realised i did pressure washing as well they came back to say that I would have to collect all of my wash water from the job and bring it back to base to dispose of it. They've been throwing legislation and all sorts at me. Of course they get money from me for disposing of the water although it is very cheap, but carting back five thousand litres is a nono so I'm inactive in this area. I'm presently arguing the issue with them to find a compromise.

Are you on a water meter, if so you can tell them to clear off,,, once its gone through the meter you own it and pay for it.......you can do what you want with it..

If  not then they may have an issue although it would be difficult to enforce  I would imagine..

Do they really check that?
If it comes out your tap its your water isnt it??
My half year bill just came in, it was £234.
So, far as im concerned, im paying for it, il do what I want with it, and they can do one if they dont like it.
Thats like a bank telling you how to spend your money.
As far as pouring it down a drain, its harmless chems, as said, no worse than car shampoo.
Forget about it!!

Not if it gets into a water course, as it well could via a storm drain - high phosphates lead to overproduction of weed, which can kill all sorts of invertebrates & fish.

Any cowboy putting dirty CC water down a storm drain is liable to a serious prosecution, and quite rightly - I for one wouldn't hesitate to report anyone I saw doing it, and I reckon a lot of the public are aware enough to do likewise.

I bet 1000 times more contaminated water is put down drains by people washing thier cars on a Sunday than is put down by carpet cleaners. Not to mention the residue from combustion engines.

And don't get me started about ships washing out their holds at sea ;) ;)

The point is, as professionals, we shouldn't kid ourselves that it's harmless.

the point is as a professional for 25 years i know better not to do the things ive been accused of doing! its just a cock that lives next that pushed a few buttons at the council and water board and has now caused me grief! revenge is on its way  " in a big way" as there was no need for him to get out of his pram in the first place, its just some one who reckens he is doing well and can make other peoples life a missery because he can. sad!
