just taken delivery of one to replace my 5 year old wcw yellow one (single speed)
looks well made and an improvement on my old one that the pump packed up on, the flow controller looks to be an advantage as is the drain valve. Overall it looks better made.
One question I have though for other owners of this backpack. Any issues with carrying it by the handle when full ? because the handle is on the screw lid.
My backpack is mainly used for cleaning the backs of terrace houses meaning I have to carry it through a house full of water, has anybody had the lid fail when being carried by the handle ? will be extra careful next few days none the less !

Be careful when screwing the lid or drain cap on as they are easy to cross thread.
I got mine as aspire to the wcw one as I use help once a week and wanted a spare.
Not used it yet other than a test but thought even on the lowest setting it chucked the water out at great speed, you will have to work quickly or control with a tap or A|D.
Emptied via the drain bit and lost the washer (if there was one in there to start with) and now it leaks from the cap. I may have also cross threaded it. The silicon is going to have to come out!

think I will build a little trolley for it eventually with a sturdy handle to be able to carry it up and down steps/stairs.
in the meantime may put on my back when carrying through houses.

had mine a couple of weeks now n im not impressed with carry handle not easy to carry when full  n water dont last long from full but back packs bad apart from the things I mentioned

I have but the pump is knackered, could have just replaced the pump but was in a hurry (lots of eot's to do) and didn't want to have to fiddle about with fittings etc.

but I am sure you could get a rubber washer for it anywhere

Used the backpack for a job this afternoon, put it on my back just to be safe carrying through a house - very uncomfortable, and I should have put some ptfe tape on the hose were it screws in at the bottom of the pack because it leaked all down my backside !
Think its an ok backpack though, will be ditching the straps as I did on my wcw one, but think the lid handle is a bad design, will be getting a trolley for it soon.

I've had mine since they were first released. I don't use it all that much but, it's been reliable and sturdy enough. I carry it by the lid handle (the straps were cumbersome so I took them off) and never had any problems with it. The only niggle, which was remedied by a splodge of silicon to the thread, was the the lid was a bit difficult to screw on at times.

Bought one of these backpacks last week, and just checked the drain valve.  It's got a solid rubber disc wedged into the cap. the middle is shaped to the hole of the yellow drain itself.  you could probably cut a piece of rubber, or stuff it with ptfe tape temporarily

Ive had one since release and tbh its not a bad bit of kit I use it daily and 1 charge can last a good 3 to 4 days .the people who are saying about the handle have you got ladies hands or something ?
