Hello,

Does anybody operate this method of employment and if they do have they got a copy of a template of the contract that they could email me at deantaberner@aol.com .

My lads are currently all signed up to employment contracts that have been written up by a company called ELAS who helped me out a short while ago at an employment tribunal for unfair dismissal. Which thankfully I won.

This is an enquiry looking for information for a friend. (Non-member) Any info I could get would be appreciated.

I'm just about to head out for a night shift on the glass so if anybody does send me a copy and I don't get back straight away then I'm not being ignorant, I'm probably 60ft up in the air in a cherry picker.

I think they are an obscenity and if it's the only way someone can afford to employ, they shouldn't be employing.

They could be mutually beneficial if you want to employ someone on a casual basis I suppose. Like a more official alternative to a cash in hand type set up. Not something I would consider for full time or permanent staff.

Quite frankly I think zero hour contracts should be made illegal.
The lowest of the low status for an employee.

Believe it or not, some people aren't capable of working a full week because they haven't got it in them.

Are they still worth employing?

Personally not in my opinion they aren't as it wouldn't work for us. For some people it does work though.

Bump
