Graffiti on cladding
« on: July 09, 2013, 08:39:27 pm »
Got some graffiti on cladding. Quite a lot. Just wondering if the chem used for graff removal from brick etc would be suitable to use on cladding.

Lee Blastaway, you ever used the DC chems graff remover on cladding?

Could anyone recommend some chem for this from experience?

Cheers,

Not my forte but I would be tempted to try upvc solvent cleaner? As it's solvent based and removes most things from cladding without damaging it

what sort of cladding is it ie plastic coated or something else, personally I would first try a simple graffiti wipe before moving onto more powerful products and as already stated try a very small test area first.
better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove any doubt

Cheers guys, what are the best graff wipes as i know a few different companies do them.

Trevor, not sure what type of cladding it is as ive only seen a picture but it looks like straight forward metal cladding. doesnt look like the plastic coated stuff.

There is quite a few really large areas of graffiti thats why i asked about chems as the wipes might take a while. and depending on how expensive they are. Ill probably go through a few depending on how much graffiti they can take off.

Give Tensid a ring, speak to Richard Turk, he'll send out samples to you.

Aqua Mix Sealing & Coating Remover.  Paint it or spray it on, let it dwell for 30 minutes and jet it off!!!!  Simples ;D ;D ;D  Do a test area first on the worst area to determine dwell time

If it's just normal metal cladding unpainted then would normal paint stripper do the job?

It will be either anodised, painted or plastic coated of one form or another. I keep Seldens plastic safe on the van for the cladding tags
