on another note, I've just googled g101 as I've heard a few people use it and highly recommend it, is it really that good? I thought it was like a caustic degreaser (tfr) but on reading I've discovered it's non caustic... is it realy as good as caustic degreaser?

So Rob, where do you get yours from? Online? Local? How much? Ive seen all kinds of prices for 5L ranging from £15 up to £25. Ive never used it but id like to get some to try out on some cladding. Just dont want to get ripped off.

Thanks Rob, you were one of the guys I heard mention it, another is a window cleaner who uses it on conservatories and fascias etc, he said he doesn't even need to agitate it when he moxes it with snow foam, he just rinses it off and all the green algae falls off, going to try some.

Matt, it may be worth looking out for an autosmart van and flagging him over, or local car wash? I assume it's going to be cheapest direct from auto smart? or do those guys in the van put commission on the product?

Yeah, the post should have read "wheres the BEST place to get G101" not the cheapest.
Also Rob, what kind of dilution rates are we looking at with it? Do you have to mix it quite strong to get decent results?

It removed a grey layer from the white cladding, on one of our supermarkets, there was effort involved but it took it back to original & saved the client tens of thousands of pounds, not getting it sprayed.
Matt - the client got us 3 tubs of 25 litres, we used 2.5 tubs on the cladding, over 19 days. No idea how much it cost, sorry.
I think we did a 50/50.

you get the g101 off the auto smart guy in the van,if you go to the auto smart web site then email for you local van, they will then send you back the details of the local guy.
I think I paid £60 for 25ltrs if I remember right,
I use it on plastic roofs, gutters etc and find it does a very good job,
I normally mix it down with 1:4 of water, spray on surface and wash off,ive also sprayed on to the end of the wfp brush and then just washed down.
hope that helps
