Fine.

We run up to 10, then monitor daily and change resin at 15

Never any problems

Evening people and just a quick bit of input from me. Recently I used the DI at 84 for a full day and not one complaint. This wasn,t done on purpose  I just totally forgot to check then went out. Was working a good distance from home so not able to go back and change the resin. I ended up doing about 30 houses that day and not one complaint. It could have gone against me no doubt but it does make you wonder why we are panicking when it goes over 10. I now work on over 30 before changing and not a single complaint to date.

I've cleaned with over 30ppm water with perfect results. What suprises me on this thread is the guys who say they've cleaned with high ppm "with no complaint". The reason that suprises me is this...when i've cleaned with high ppm i have checked my results and i know they're fine. I havn't relied on "a complaint" to set my mind at rest.

So how will Ironic systems try to attack this thread to protect their new parts per Billion system???

Personally, I've found that if you rinse well water can be used past the 10ppm that I used to change the resin(I did think it was bad practice though).

I used water of 12 all day today - including 4 first cleans - excellent results and no complaints.  But I will be changing in the morning before going out.  Then I can forget again for a while!

Earlier in the year I forgot to check for a week and when I remembered it was showing 28.  I went and checked every house I had I done that day and no spotting to be seen - it was a relief to be sure but as others have said I'm sure good results can be achieved with 30/40 readings.  However, I personally like to change around the 10 mark for my own peace of mind - safe in the knowledge it will definitely not spot at that level.

Cheers, Tom

Long term it would be a NO NO  as eventually you will get a build up of all the crap your RO & DI removes

A tds reading of 10ppm to 15ppm can change within one fill of a tank , I have cleaned with 17ppm  and 25ppm without complaint i was aware of the reading both times i had ran out of resin or filled my truck tank and then checked tds .

As it was the last day of the week both times i knew i would be ok as a one off , A few month ago i was not checking my TDS as often as i should have been and it got to 57ppm which is normal tap water in my area and i only got 2 complaints .

But how i never got more i do not know . Mike

BenM that did include rinsing mate yes. Like I said not something I would normally do and if the resin is anywhere near 30 when I check it gets changed. Maybe it is because the houses cleaned are regulars so to be honest they are never really filthy anyway.
