Mixing products
« on: July 02, 2013, 08:10:29 am »
Hi Guys

How do you feel about mixing products?
Going to a really dirty synthetic carpet today and due to the fact that I have had great results with power burst and hdx but not necessarily all the time, I'm considering mixing the two together. Are the any potential problems with doing this?

Philip.

I would avoid mixing unless specifically recommended. You don't know exactly whats in most products and there may well be a reaction which could damage the item you are working on.
I take HDX is a microsplitter, if so I can't see any benefit adding to powerburst. Powerburst usually works on mingers by itself or you could try an enzyme product such as Enzall. Boosters are good additives and will enhance the cleaning power.

You could put some citra-boost with the powerburst (made to be mixed with some prochem products) then put the HDX in your rinse  :)

Or add oxibrite or even both if you need too.

Went with Power burst & OrangeX prespray, customer over the moon as she was going to replace but I still didn't think it had the WOW factor that I should have been able to achieve. I'm just starting out so maybe it's down to technique or product knowledge. How does Oxybrite work and does it enhance the clean?

Philip.

Explains it all really well. Jump to 1:45 if impatient.

Use the UK equivalent dilutions and products. i.e. Oxibrite, Citra Boost, Ultrapac Renovate (or Powerburst)
