Tbh John I had one and they aren't as manoeuvrable as you think, they are considerably more heavy than your oreck very good on tiled floors though.

Shaun

are you talking about the sprayborg?

I quite fancy one. I have looked at the videos for hard floor cleaning. Is it really that good on hard floors?

All carpet cleaning gear and chems are, nothing new.
But then again, everyone on here is on £1,111,000,010,010.50p a hour  :)

Tony I had a challenger thought it would be good for domestic carpet cleaning but it was too cumbersome.

Orbot wouldn't be my first choice for hard floor work.

It works well but a good quality rotary with the right pads/brushes will outperform.

It gets in quite a mess using it on floors too so looks a bit scabby when taking it into a carpet customers.

On carpet cleaning it performs really well but I would use it more for commercial maintenance jobs than domestic deep cleans.  It doesn't even compare to an Oreck/Floormac for size, productivity and ultimately price.

Take into consideration that the Orbot is priced similarly to a high end portable which would be used everyday to generate income. The orbot is built to run all day/every day (or night) this week alone I have used ours for 3 nights on my own cleaning about 5000m2 and earned way more than the initial investment.

There is another orbital floor machine called the Tomcat Edge. It is similar price to the Orbot.

There is a smaller version of the orbot coming at the end of the summer but no RRP as yet.

There is also another machine from another manufacturer in final development. It is also from US which will mean the price will be in the same ball park.

Use mine for commercial contract cleaning, paid for its self in first 3 months.

In this game at the top level there is not one or two systems that are suffice.
