Hi all

Just come across a website selling genuine USA lamb Ameteks for £90.  They call themselves Carpet Cleaners Store and just wanted to know if anyone has had any dealings with this business?

 They have an e-bay store  , £100 incl post  , its a good enough deal .
 But thats all they are worth really , that would sell for about £75 in the USA .
 Uk suppliers have and do charge more for them simply because they can .
 Btw ..  they are made in mexico for a few peso from Chinese parts     ametek just keeps a usa offfice somewhere  so they stick ' made in usa on them '.
The only vacs assembled in the USA are by the former electrolux ' electro' motors .
And they will freely admit the parts also come from china .

That would really depend on the exact model of each you are comparing Shaun .
Many of the 7.2s used are nothing special performance wise  , about 400 airwatts .
But this model 7.2 is quite powerfull as you can see 147" lift .

But again depending on the Electro 5.7 model  ..  the more powerfull one used by Ashbys has about the same " lift and a  bit more CFM .
I would say the replacment cost of the 7.2 is likely to a lot more than the electro so i would go with the electro based on that .
