Dual pumps
« on: June 15, 2013, 01:22:07 pm »
K1 valve £68

All pumps direct £49

How can they charge 40% more?

And alpmp direct give free deliver on orders over £100.

Daft of me to order it without them giving me the price but I thought they might be more expensive but 40% on a basic item ::)roll

My fault but dual pumps won't be getting any more of my money

I stopped using dual pumps after the second purchase.

I bought a pump from allpumpsdirect/allsprayersdirect and it was atleast £80 cheaper than anywhere else i looked. They seem cheaper for most things..

Our Thor has just had to go back in to them.

Bought just under twelve months ago - regular checks of the oils and a general check over.

Losing oil big time, we couldn't see where it was losing it from because of where the machine was, against the tank.

Took it back to our service people, the bolts holding the gearbox to the pump had loosened, we couldn't see it, knackered gearbox, knackered pump - both replaced - under warranty!

When it was put together someone didn't Loctite the bolts in, they had to replace.

They are useless - we wont be buying from them again, either.

Had a check on the flow done, running at 35 LPM, should be 42 or thereabouts, useless!!

Rob ;D

Ive always found that their stuff was good quality (never bought something as big as a machine though) but its just their prices.. obviously there are a lot of guys buying from them still but i dont understand how they can markup so much. Even a small plastic fitting, once you add the vat and delivery is over a fiver..

I think the problem is they don't have the procedure to sell to individuals.

If you look at their price list it gives the price then a discount code, so if you have an account you will get a big discount on their list price, this could be 20-30% which brings thier prices inline with everyone else, but if you don't have an account then you pay the inflated list price

But they will not open you an account if they know you are an end user. Most spares can be sourced "nearly" as cheap as a trade account via e-bay.
