...A 13hp diesel machine?

I've only ever seen the 13hp honda petrol.

I'm toying with the idea of getting a second van, probably something small like a ford transit connect. Needing a machine to stick at the side door, and am wanting to run a WS202 on it. Has to be a smallish machine as im wanting the space at the rear for the gum machine/chems/whatever else i need to carry at times.

If you have a tank at the house for lpg central heating you could fill a bottle/tank yourself . There is no "tax" on heating gas so it would be up to you to work out and pay the tax man any revenue due!!!. In theory you could run your van on it aswell ...it would be very hard to have your tank dipped ...unlike vimto!

Well, that sucks..

So what are my options then for running a 202? I mean, my cheaper options? ( not prepared to pay £2000 plus for a hand crank engine thats only going in a second van)

Maybe a smallish Lombardini?

Lee Kenny, how did you get on researching the smaller high HP Lombardini engines? are there many about? what kind of size machines are they? compact? Good HP?

£20 A day will run a gx390.

Matt from what I looked at your options are available twin cylinder diesel or larger, air cooled are smaller than water cooled. Lombardini or kubotas make decent suitable ones that are quite easily obtainable 2nd hand. Hatz do a single cylinder 13hp but it's a new model so costs around 3k. Not much chance of finding a second hand one of those. Another option could be get a Honda gx390 and put a gas conversion on it to run it off calor gas?
I ended up buying a zeta 200 bar at 30 litre. Twin cylinder diesel engine. All mounted on a trolley . I paid decent money for it but it saved me all the work of building one. Also had a 30 meter hose reel on it so happy days

I thought about a petrol, but i buy a lot of cherry for my other two machines, so its only logical to try and get a diesel machine rather than have to buy petrol as well.

Thanks mate, looks like ill just have to keep my eyes open for a second hand twin cyl machine. I was wanting the smallest machine possible to run a 202 as i just want it at the side door of the smaller van and dont want something too heavy. Was looking at getting a small car to go do quotes in etc so i didnt have to always take the big van, but figure id buy a small van, kill two birds with one stone.. but i didnt think about the extra money to kit the second van out.. decisions decisions..

Im looking at 13hp minimum so i can run 21lpm. The yanmars are only 11hp and dont run the higher flow pump properly. I wish they did cause you can pick them up second hand cheap and it would be a perfect size/weight.

Also lombardini do a 12 hp single cylinder - 15ld500 but again, very rare to see a second hand one
