The whole system is being delivered to our trading address tomorrow afternoon.

We will be moving trading addresses to make the operation more accessible and because we will be taking on works, delivered to the unit, it is not aesthetically pleasing.

The unit is ok, the surrounding farm has become a little untidy.

You need to team up with Dave Washbrook - he's picking on me in another thread. I know how the 'know it all' feels now ;D

I could clean the farm in two days and it would look 'Pristine' - see what I did there ;D

From the Farrow System website -

Patented worldwide, The Farrow System®, is a low pressure system that works by adding heat to the cleaning process. This adds energy, creates free flow, adds control, and increases cleaning speeds. The system uses Farrow Green Clean® exclusively, optimising its properties of environmental safety, cleaning without damage, and incredible efficiency.

I've moved this reply, to the relevant thread, from the Driveway cleaning topic-

I don't know why I humour you or even respond. What was the point of the post then?

Was it pointless!!

Or other?

It uses water, media, compressor - it is not a dry blast system - are you looking to trip me up on terminology?

I would be interested in your experience - who have you worked for, what systems did you use, when was this and on each system, how much usage?

We can all come on here and spout cr*p, show me some proof of this experience

Please feel to phone me on 07973216502 and try and I will answer any questions you might have. I appreciate you have spoken to Farrow and received good support from them but ask any distributor/vendor and they will tell you what you want to hear ...ask Kev Martin to recommend a sandstone sealer!!. Stonehealth, Hodge Clemco,Farrow ask any of them and they will tell you all the good bits. Things like noise /dust pollution, problems with damp media ,setting up a spray shop etc is the other side of it.
Although to be fair the system you have purchased and the media you are planning on useing will eliminate some of these problems.

I didn't really take advice. I do do a little research, for myself, I don't tend to ask strangers questions, the people I would speak to would be on here but I already have communication with them, on the phone, texting, by email and I knew that there wouldn't really be someone else with this size system on here, or we would have heard about it.

If there is someone I would be glad to have a chat with them.

You try and be smart by comments such as 'will eliminate some of these problems' - what other problems will there be that the Farrow System cannot handle, that comment would tell me or anyone reading this topic that I haven't got the be all and end all system and I could do much better - what, if I had listened to you?

Chris get over yourself. I spent my money very wisely, I have a cracking system, that was delivered today, none of the problems that YOU think are outstanding, even exist and because of the way I operate I don't see there being any significant problems moving forward.

I have a successful business, this will be a successful part of that business.

The responses smell a little, mmmmm, what is it?, mmmmmm, Ah I know - jealousy  ;)

Rob I really don't know why you bother to acknowlege him. Some don't listen ie YOU - as I have suggested you ignor him before ! Imagine if smartsmudge did a wetblaster what it would remove without noise, polution or clean up  ;)

I've got to admit I'm jealous, I would love to have a system like that.
Maybe in a couple of years, if I keep working hard.

You are right, I just can't help myself. I am going into detox, I need some encouragement to weed myself off the addiction.

I am better than he. I will ignore him, I will ignore him, I have an armour of steel all around me. He cannot penetrate.

Help me get through people.

B Bailey - I have taken a calculated risk, an expensive one because it needs a decent sized vehicle to tow it and that was expensive as well. I have to repay the money but it is worth the risk. If it works I am going to be laughing, if it goes wrong I am confident that I will get my money back.

One thing that I have learned in the last twelve years is that if you don't push the boundaries you will never know what you can achieve.

There's two ways of looking at it, it's £14000.000, wow it's £14000.00 or it's just money, its only £14000.00. I tend to be on the right hand side of the thought process.

All my kit has paid for itself very quickly and I expect this to work hard for me, all I have to do is show it working, explain its credentials, demonstrate to the right people and it will do its job.

The hard bit is getting the opportunity to show capability. I haven't been lucky - i've worked really hard, for a long time to have this and I am not giving it up.

I was in the right place seven years ago but I put myself there, it wasn't given to me.

There isn't any maybes in life, if you want it you have to go and get it, it will never be given to you.

I was given a pricing list this afternoon that is 3.5 years old, for removing white lines. The guy I bought from was given it by the original owner. If I don't increase those prices and make a dent, on my works, It will definitely be worthwhile, massively worthwhile ;D ;D

Rob,

There are a few people of here that do reinvest in their kit to go forward, won't name names but we/you/they know who they are.
Your new purchase will give you various avenues to go down and take what we do to a new level, same as what I do and this industry needs to be taken seriously and not just a summer job!!! as some folk see it. (not a dig at anyone new before anyone gets upset)

Good luck my friend and don't let the green-eyed monsters get to you, just rise above it.

I had similar comments when we started out and I still get them now!  I personally don't give a Monkeys, I do what I want to do and when I want to do it!  Many people told me over the years I was mad investing 10's of £1000's in machinery and it would never pay for itself.  People told me i was mad paying for my guys to go on courses, send them to trade shows, make them wear a uniform or buy them the best PPE but I still did it.   When people don't invest in themselves and their companies they may do OK and will probably make a living but when you have vision'forward thinking and the desire to succeed then invariably provided you make your decisions carefully and don't overstretch yourself financially it is almost certain you will succeed.  Good Luck but I still wanna come up and see it in action :P

You know that is going to happen. I am off up to the unit in the morning, all nozzles will be attached, the machine will be switched and the camera will roll.

It will then be over to Lee Kenny, voice over man extraordinaire. I am expecting blockbuster ;D
