Mr H
Remember those scabby publications of wall planners and diaries etc that used to send out invoices just because you'd spoken to someone on the phone.......
Well this is what happened to Derek albeit he had a visit from the rep but didn't agree to anything or sign anything.

no i haven't taken out any advertising and funnily enough, ive just phoned the rep and number is no longer recognised. i'm guessing that she has forged mt signature, handed in the ad request and got her commission knowing she was leaving, i have to wait til the paper work arrives to check my signature. hopefully she has just had a stab in the dark at forging it so i can catagorically say its not mine, if however she has looked through old files of 4 years ago, she could of found an old signature and copied it.  i will then have to go to court probably, luckily i have texts and emails after the invoice date asking if i still want to reserve the advertising. certainly don't need this hassle in my life at the moment.

Derek if I was in your position I would have great pleasure in advising them you run a trade organisation and the members have been informed about this and are highly unlikely to take out any further advertising with them. I would write this to either the chairman or chief exec.
If you look at the structure of this company it is divided into multiple divisions each with its own accounting structure selling stuff to each other. Personally I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole.
Daft thing is if you pay to advertise and then stop the listing usually remains anyway.

I would surmise it's probably a glitch in their system and nothing to worry about.

when i first started trading 5 years ago i spent 2k on the book and the year after stopped the book and went on yell.com. both were rubbish so i stopped and haven't done anything since, its only recently i noticed yell doing well on google so enquired to see what the pricing was and if they'd sorted out there area/search problems which are outdated and useless for someone like me in between areas, any way i was bombarded with special offers here and special offers there but i signed nothing and have emails and texts after the said signing asking if i still want to go ahead. its funny how the rep has now deleted there phone number, according to the guy on the phone today, it has my signature on the application form. i know for a fact i signed nothing so i have to sit and wait till they send me the signed document. like i said if its nothing like my signature then i have no worries but if they have forged it from old signatures i will have to go to court and fight my case with the emails and texts i have. really don't need this.

Get on Watchdog about it and see how many TACCA plugs you can get in before Anne tells you to be quiet.

Derek the rep as obviously commited fraud   optaining a commision fee by deception just ring the police and let them sort it
