Gym clean
« on: May 25, 2013, 08:42:01 am »
Hi all

I may have a gym to clean, its about 300m2.
The good bit is the carpet is Flotex or like.
The bad bit is I cant start it until after 9 in the evening.  :(
I reckon it should come up a treat without too much effort
because of the material.
For speed and a good job would you recommend encap
cleaning or HWE with blowers, as this carpet has a
rubberised back and very short pile?
Any opinions?

Rich

Unlikely to be Flotex but I know the type of stuff they put down looks like it ........ maybe there would not be so many watermarks if it were Flotex.

I do a Nuffield gym and my helper vacs through and I follow with rotary ..... using M Power and Solution Super Machine Pad Bonnets. My helper does go round any problem areas with the Floormac and can follow behind me to give any traffic lanes a second go. Mostly dry by the time we pack up and go because of rubber backing, you have to low moisture clean and every mark seems to remove ..... blood, sweat & tears ........ that's from the carpet, not from me  ;)

No need to flood Flotex anymore.

Encap with an agitation pad is all you need.

Would that be Releasit DS2 Jamie?  And is a rotary better than Cimex on Flotex as not done any Flotex with encap yet. Cheers, Al.

We are doing one tonight. 650m2 open area with the Cimex. We will use HyDrOx as its a canteen at a local uni. I will let you know how long it takes them tomorrow when I check their shift times. The Cimex is a little easier n the wrists with higher agitation pads than a rotary,

Allen,
I would have thought Cimex would be better , 2 main reasons  3 independent  FLOATING  heads and designed for the application of solutions encap  been one of them.

As a side note  I have 1800 sq yards to encap tommorow , and hopefuly should complete in the day ,with a cimex.

I shall be using 4 different solutions, Cimex encap, release it, dynamall and  enhance .

I have still found the best by far to be a solution by bray chemicals, used a few years ago but now would not know where to source ::)roll   .

We'll give it a go with the Cimex then, would that be with fibre plus pads or brushes on Flotex.

On another note the 17" Fiber max pads worked amazing on Saturdays job Jamie, good tip, thanks.
