vinyl removal
« on: May 23, 2013, 06:28:56 pm »
the local spar shop had their window vinyl removed today . 3 blokes came down from bradford to grantham . they did a nice job tbh but i got to thinking,  that must have cost a small fortune for them to come down to do this... i ve done one for the body shop and it was hard work to get the window back to normal . it makes me wonder whether i charged enough. does anyone do this?what sort of money do you get?

it was like a frosted vinyl in a restaurant and it was covering all the windows went though a lot of blades getting it off and then once it was all off had to scrape all the sticky glue off with some warm soapy water i was there all day i charged £120 in the end quit funny because i fort it was just a couple off windows they wanted cleaned i was expecting like £10 but then when she told me what she wanted done i was a little angry because was not expecting to be there all day as had other work to be getting on with but  £120  not all bad and she wants them cleaned every 2 weeks now so all good.

i did the body shop when  it closed down in grantham and the guy who was responsible for the job  gave me a bottle of very strong vinyl glue remover (brilliant stuff tbh) i reckon theres some good money to be earned at this .
