I had one today too just like yours Dave. Told him to pay me what he thought I was worth, the job took 35 minutes & the cheeky B******* offered me £600!! ::)roll ::)roll

Any advice to stop me getting ripped off again greatly appreciated. 

Honestly, these customers need to get real!! :P

Where you went wrong was you should have said to 'pay me lots more than I was worth'. Then you would have earnt some really decent money as the bloke would have paid up, no doubt about it.
