Advice please
« on: May 21, 2013, 12:18:52 pm »
Can anyone suggest where I can advertise window cleaning equipment other than on this site, I have put three postings on but have not managed to sell equipment or van. I know very little about van mounted systems and water fed poles so could it be that the Ionics system we have is not what anyone would use. We set the business up with a business partner but he moved back to his home town after 6 months so we have been left with the van & system which we bought new, and tried to keep going for the dozen of customers we had. Now we just use the system to wash the windows at home which is a waste, its a 600ltr Ionic water system with portable Quattro & Unger window cleaning equipment, 20ft & 40ft Ionic water fed poles & hose reel. My husband will try putting the van in the Auto Trader but don't know what to do with everything else.

Have you tried ebay?  Most ex WFP'ers tend to sell on there.

Thanks might have to try that, is the equipment ok or can you buy better, I have read through all the posting over the last three months to try and see what other window cleaners are using ( and I have to add that I have found you all very amusing )

Also try bumping the advert in the for sale section up every few days on here.
Currently it is on page 2 and might be missed by a potential buyer.
So try keeping it up on page 1.  ;)

Change the title of this thread to Advice please, trying to sell wfp van and system.

It's a bit naughty but the mods are either dead, not working or in the buddhist/jw/fascist section and you might get some useful replies before someone notices.  ;D
It's a game of three halves!

I've looked at the original sale post and too be honest there isn't enough info or pictures.  I'm sure if you stick it on here or ebay with plenty of info and lots of detailed pictures you will at least get a lot more interest. People want to know what they are buying and the lack of info would just make many people pass over the add.  Also an absence of photo's often suggests there may be damage like a big scratch down one side or rust.  If it's all in good nick show it off with quality photo's.
