Yes im a window cleaner 95% of the time but much prefer pressure washing which Ive been doing for about 6 weeks now .... pricing NOT as a quick buck add on but as a proper business which leads me to the question

out of say 10 quotes what do you normally get a yes to ... my strike rate is about 20%  and without getting into money Im pricing along lines of what ive understand are the daily rates posted on here already previously.

last quote I didnt get was 10x18 sq /m block paved area inc resanding went in at £450 someone got job at less than half that inc resanding ?

did i go in too high .... I worked on a day to a day and a half for cleaning than a few hours to resand.

I can clean 500 SQM in an hour. I would expect to clean 180 SQM in half an hour. I would do everything required there in one hour.

If I took a standard pressure washer and used say 15LPM @ 200 bar I would expect to clean those measurements in one hour at the worst, tidying up another hour?

Calling back to re sand half an hour - 2.5 hours work. £180.00 per hour is overpriced. Yes round the £200.00 mark is a good price. No criticism there, just my view.

Should allow half a day for a job.

I have bought pressure washers to suit my works. When you clean car parks @ 18000 SQM you need to get through it.

If I turned up at that job I would have at least half a tonne of water on, by the time you had knocked on the door I would have had the hose round the back with lance connected and be bringing the supply hose to tap and switching it on before you had got to the back gate.

I would be moving everything out of the way while the tank is on fill and be pressure washing within ten minutes.

I have got two superb set ups that let me start straight away.

I have been doing this properly for well into a million SQMs

I think more like 4 hours and 1 hour tidy up. Id of prob priced at around 350. At the speed Rob works I might employ him and book 5 in a day!££££££
The gear youve got (previousley mine) I have done 400m2 block paving in a day thats about the max you could do.
Ive just got a job 170 m2 - £480 not far from you! Dont think it the same one!

It's the way you sell it sometimes.

I don't know because i wasn't there but maybe they weren't confident in the pitch, it could be anything at all, you have the wrong look, said the wrong thing, people are peculiar and there doesn't have to be a reason.

Don't get hung up, price and do or move onto the next - plenty of dirt out there!!

Three of us did 1200 SQM in one day a couple of weeks ago, that was the H & M, and two Rapiers. real mix of textured concrete, and block. In total we think five of us did 3000 SQM with walls & small paths

I am thinking of getting a brace to link two pressure washing lances together, one in each hand I will do twice as much

You have never worked with me, you have an idea in your head what I am about, through this forum.

Get a CSCS card and come and work with me for the day, I am doing a lot less at the moment than I have in the past.

To justify my statement, not that I need to, certainly not to you - the turbo nozzle is twice as big a cut on both the Thor and Hot & Mighty as the ones that will be being used on any other machine on here, double the width, twice the work.

When I bought the H & M from Roger it was a great machine, upgraded pump and inlets it is twice the machine it was, I know how to use it, everything about my set up is to reduce down time.

My van, with me in it will be at Crosby tomorrow morning, about eleven o clock, come and meet me.

One other thing you don't know Darren either, don't insult me or him - you really know nothing about either of us - we do know each other and we both have something you don't - plenty of work!!!

So what you are saying is you will clean and resand domestic jobs for approx £1 per sqm (180 sqm = £200=2.5 hours = £80 per hour).
I apologise.  £80 per hour is very  impressive ...no wonder everybody wants to go pressure washing! I am lucky if i make that a day!
It is me that is the dickhead ..I have learnt something . No wonder you have plenty of work and i have none.

We are only at Crosby tomorrow, the store is relaunched on Wednesday morning.

I would say if I can clean and re-sand a patio in two and a half hours I am earning £80.00 per hour, I don't think like you and it isn't always about M2

Three hours is £66.00 per hour

Three & a half hours is £57.00 per hour

Four hours is £50.00 per hour

I am happy to slow down and earn the bottom figure. There is always a different way of viewing everything. Another free lesson!!!

Rob if you can do 500m per hour why did it take all day for 3 of you to do 1200m??
You stick to commercial leave the domestics to us pikeys.!

Didnt speak to britclean, I orderd a 60m hose for £119 which I thought was a great price.

That was a good price mate.

That was all the flatwork, we did a load of cladding, walls and gutters as well, possibly up that some way. Did a massive amount of work in the day. Took a day off the works.
