my 1st job was 2 bungalows side by side. 2 of us had a bucket, sponge and chamois leather.
They took 3 hours.
It took ages to dry everything and my arms were hanging off by the end. The next month after advice from our own wc, we had boab, applicator and scrims. Took an hour.
A year later on my own were done in 25 minutes.

People need to get of their high horses on this forum.

But if you think Gold is guilty of getting on his high horse aren't you doing the same by critiscising him? That makes you guilty of critiscism and of being a hypocrite.

Wasn't getting at Gold just trying to make the point that we all had to start somewhere.
But I see your point.

Good post, I remember my first day, everything took hours!! I managed 12 3 bed semi's that day in about 9 hours, and was knackered but glad I'd got through them.

Am I the only one who couldn't care less how long the bloke took.

I don't understand why it matters how long anyone else takes or how they do the job and all that.
Just chant..... Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Krsna Krsna, Hare Hare, Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare. It's beats chanting Tory Tory or Labour Labour.

No, there's probably others as well :)
But I actually want to know just because I do :)

It sounds like en exact mirror image of me I was doing the same as him 7 years ago,

In 1996 I had upgraded to a G reg Volvo 340 estate. I started with a Leather and Scrim, I thought you had to Scrim first and leather last, each house took about 3 hours, then I discovered an all in B&Q Squeegee, the type without a separate rubber.

Those were the days

You win!  ;D

But in fairness there was a door to the side too. So 3 upper windows, two doors and a downstairs window. No bays.

>@DMSI

8 years ago I had just sold my "F" reg Volvo 340 Hatch and got a "J" reg Honda Accord Estate so I could put a Peter Fogwill trolley system in it.

You still moderatin'?  ;D
It's a game of three halves!
