What hose reel do you use , does it have any steel components that the water comes into contact internal ,
Does it rust?

i just use a premium metal hose reel from gardiners called a claber reel.cheap as chips(£37).very light and has been problem free for 2 years.i dont think it would be suitable for hot water though.

no it doesnt rust!and fits all of my 100m of thermobore no problem.

we use reelworks hose reels - powder coated so protected against rust and we use brass fittings

And I use a brodex reel  BUT don't buy it cause its like there pole ha ha "heavy"

I have just bought the same reel from gardiners with there microbore hose , the difference between that and my ionics reel is amazing ,sooooo light!

The ionics reel will probably last forever though.

Claber reel for cold, Reelworks 460 for hot. Any steel reel if scratched through the paint will eventually rust, but the Reelworks is very high quality and difficult to scratch.

I see, not entirely sure, plated stuff. Very high quality, seems to cope quite well with hot purified water. No problems.
