I remember this one, I think it was Romex that had been used on that job.
I also have now seen this loads of times, where the paving company lay and point the paving, don't clean up properly, then someone else has to clean up the crap they have left behind.
I have a couple at the moment to look at Limestone patios where the installers have f**ked them up with shoddy workmanship.

Annoyed the hell out of me because of you recommending me - wouldn't want to let anyone down who had recommended me, Tony seems to have some sway in his field and could have been a good recommender as well and the client would have been an important stepping stone into that Cheshire set.

I just couldn't make anyone see the problem. One thing I can do is let people know how a job is going and if I had said nothing and had my hand out at the end then I could have understood some reticence to pay but I just kept saying there was a problem and all along they just kept telling me to carry on.

Tony didn't seem to want to admit that the prep work had not been done properly and wanted me to be responsible, at that time I don't think he knew he had made a problem.

I don't know how long you have to wait if it seals all the crap underneath but they are saying four months, we even tried heat on it and nothing would strip it back.

Ah well - I know now for the future - I just never got the result I wanted and that wasn't about the money!!!!

I have used gtfk many times, 800, 850 and even the single polymeric 840+, they are great products, but pricey, I now use one that has been created as a rival, again a 2 pack epoxy, but less than half the price of gtfk and it even goes off quicker in colder conditions, gtfk can take days to set in sub 5 degree temps.....

No mate, it took one full tub and then a tiny bit from the next tub, even though I only used a fraction of the 2nd tub you have to throw it all away, so I suppose I would have to say 2 tubs    i was happy with it and so was the customer.... although I'[m not a fan of raking the joints out.... what a s@@tty job that is. How do you go on raking out Simon? Any particular methods I could use to make it easier? My hair and my ears, my whole body was full of cement dust

I use a special tool ...his name is kev!

Its a horrible job but doesnt take too long to do with handheld grinders, what did that take about 1 hour? Think I need to try your resin though it does look good.

Yes, I have raked a few patios out in my time when you put it like that

That was indeed only a very small part of a substantial driveway area, I knew it was expensive gear but it did exactly what it said on the tin.

If you do stock it make sure you let people know about the sealer properties.

Money was definitely not a problem for this works. I was just really disappointed that we never had the full picture or I would definitely not have taken the works on until the sealer layer had broken down.

As per the youtube clip the gaps are quite wide!

Rob, they should of had you in to clean the paving before installation of that product, thats how i do it, obviously builders don't realise this and you were left to pick up the peices
