Summer Cleaning Services.
The awarding authority has approximately 3550 student bedrooms, spread across the main Singleton campus, Hendrefoelan Student Village, Beck House and many privately owned University-managed properties.
Swansea University is required to provide an annual full building deep clean programme following occupation by students, and conference visitors (HSV only) after the Summer period.
In order to offer the opportunity for all sizes of cleaning businesses to participate, the tender has been split into 2 Lots for the following requirements: Lot 1 ? Full Building Deep Clean July & September of University-managed properties, Student Accommodation Services (herein referred to as ?SAS?) Lot 2 ? Full Building Deep Clean (June/July) and Secondary Deep Clean (September) of Hendrefoelan Student Village (herein referred to as ?HSV?) The University wishes to tender for the annual provision of Summer Cleaning Services in the case of each Lot, for a period of 12 months. Due to the timescales required within this contract, the intention is to award each Lot at the earliest opportunity, in order to implement the contract by the dates indicated in the tender documents.
Hence, it is imperative that tendering companies have sufficient staffing capacity, contingency and adequate availability to implement the contract by the dates given.
