Got a drive to do thats had a diesel spill on it. whats best to get the diesel off? Was thinking some oil remover but diesel is made up different fro m oil so not sure if it will work great. any ideas?

Roger, ive got some ot8, didnt think it would work great on diesel though. has it worked for you on diesel in the past?

Send them over Matt, new blocks? how old is the paving would they not stand out to much if all grouped together? Maybe lift a few older ones around the drive and replace with newer ones so they don't stand out if you see what I mean.

I use acid to age new blocks

Don't you find it darkens them Carl? so again stand out?

It takes the shine off the the top then I dot them about likewise.

Good tips thanks guys. Roger i see what you mean about mixing old with new. makes sense as they probably would stand out. regardless of replacing the blocks its getting a full clean anyway. just looking at my options.

is the resiblock OR a solvent based one? would you say it's like jizer? I've never used it but the tin looks like a jizer, i was thinking they may just buy it in and re-label it as resiblock and bump up the price. Am considering getting some to try, heard it mentioned a few times

I know OT8 is citrus based. Well, im assuming it is because of the smell, and its also got those enzyme thingies that eat the oil (apparently)

You could put a poultice on those to get rid of the diesel.

For certain stains Matt I use Weiss Extra KT from Steintec

Not cheap but does get the results, you'll need to work out the area size and then calculate how much you are going need, it takes 24 hours to work, let me know if you need anymore info etc. and I can talk you through how to do it.
I know Kevin also does a poultice which maybe a cheaper option, I have used it and did get good results along side the KT

Also look at Fullers earth. Acetone and heat. I also have had the old tech cleans oil remover copied after they stopped suppllying it to me

That was about the best oil stain remover around, why did they ever stop doing it ?
The Resiblock OR is the closest so far I have found that comes close as a solvent based product.

The Extra KT works much the same as Fullers Earth, just pre-mixed.
