Pole advice please
« on: May 09, 2013, 12:11:55 am »
Can anyone recommend a 28-30 foot pole that
A  collapses to less than 6 foot total
B  has proper "stops" so the sections can't come apart in use
C  doesn't leave your hands black

I'm replacing me Brodex scaffold pole, and want to be rid of the above features!
Thanks in advance.

I was joking that Alex Gardiner had resorted to underhanded advertising  :o. And you are Mr.G, as well.
Have a look at Gardiner's poles. The Phoenix poles, maybe?

all carbon poles will leave your hands black if you dont use gloves.

buy a 30ft SLX if you want a quality, light, rigid pole and wear gloves.

Thanks for the replies!
I was thinking more along the lines of a fibreglass-carbon hybrid pole, are they any good? with regard to stiffness? and black hands!

if you're thinking of a hybrid I'd go for a gardiners clx 27

All gardiner poles have stops on them, saying that, they can be added to the facelift poles if you want them.

mr G if you have a fair bit of high work with your pole fully extended then the SLX 25 or 30 would be the better option if your finances will stretch.the clx 27 bends like a banana at full stretch even with a light brush.

full carbon poles are the way to go if you take your business seriously.they are FAR BETTER than any hybrid pole.
