My mate fell off his ladder yesterday...

The same mate that I offered to build a WFP system for, but he was happy to continue just doing traditional.

Think he might have second thoughts now.

Not sure Spruce to be honest, but the fact that he is a 14 stone bodybuilder played a part I expect

This is a ladder that hundreds of window cleaners are using all over the country.

I agree that there are better ladders on the market, but this isnt a debate about the make of ladder.

The point of the post it to reiterate the fact that people need to be careful using ladders and seriously consider going WFP.

Cheers Matt  ;)

But the ladder he was using is an important issue.
He was using a diy rated ladder and not a trade rated ladder.
We do not know if the ladder was faulty because we are only looking at your photos and perhaps he could of still had the fall even if using a trade rated ladder.
But the fact remains he was not using suitable equipment for the job at hand.
No excuses.

Andy...

Please for the point of this post imagine the ladder in question was a trade rated ladder.

Thankyou

im prepared to wager that its a loft ladder  or ,as i said before,  a childs ladder ,  made in the 1950s .    even at 14 stone he must have had it at a strange angle to get it to crease like that

i sense a setup .  could be hes tryin to claim compo

Wrong ladder, wrong angle, nothing wrong with trad but your life is worth a lot more than spending a bit on a system .

AS said before its a D.I.Y ladder. i have one too  ;D. But since im 99.99% wft i cant be bothered to buy a trade ladder. The difference and the way we can tell is the sides are not the "boxed" type there like spindley

I thought that, but then realised it could have gone at the bottom in which case its definitely down to it being a rubbish ladder!
