Spent Resin
« on: May 08, 2013, 08:43:01 am »
Hi All
Anybody know of a use for spent resin?
Does anyone re-cycle it?
I thought of digging into my allotment as a soil improver to get rid of it but don't know if it is toxic or not - the resin absorbs what is in my drinking water anyway so it should be safe. ??? ???

This got me thinking.

I've just upgraded my RO to a 4040. I ruined my last RO by not changing my filters often enough (I think) It's the ultratec 40" version that PureFreedom sell. Currently taking the TDS from ~350 to ~70.

Is there any value in this or is it good to be binned?

Just hope you are not using Nuclear Grade Resin.  :o
Otherwise your 3 year old will be glowing in the dark.  ;D
