Water waste

i cant believe we have to waste water when it comes out of the system and down the drain is there no other way to not waste water  please

It's just the way it goes with today's tech. Impurities have to be carried away from the surface of the membrane, otherwise it would clog up. At least it goes down the drain so the waste plant can treat it. There is just no zero waste system.

If you are that concerned I would invest in rain water harvesting, but you can't really expect to have the amount we use each day ready for the taking. Unless you have vast storage facilities for when it does rain.

i can only speak from my own experience but in my case it helped a lot with waste and with tds after ro.

Its a crying shame that the waste can't be re pumped back into the ro but probably cost as much in electric to pump back if it could be done?
