Hi, Which pressure washer do you use for driveway cleaning... apart from the honda 13hp £1500 ( i cant afford that)....

I need another one after buying a cheap chinese one 6.5hp.... dont get me wrong ,it did the job and made plenty of money, but i could not get parts.

There are lots of 5.5hp cheap ones , but i would prefer 6.5hp or a little higher.

What do you mostly use for a decent hard working washer?

I keep saying this. There are some cracking Hilta Yanmar diesel pressure washers on Ebay. They are as good as you will ever need. I have three of them. None of mine cost more than £700.00.

Buy a decent second hand one, they are bomb proof.

I'd post but I have been flat out recently. I have loads of machines ranging from a stupid petrol Karcher right up to a 45 hp Harben. I'm sorry but I buy the best machine to do the job and I can't afford it then I save for it. For drive work I have a 14hp Lombardini running a WS202 - 21 ltrs about £2500 all in. A new Harben with all the bells and whistles is about £22k with the vat. I'd be a little ashamed to turn up with a lowly snide - I have top kit, do a very good job for sensible money

Its an add to,... to my window cleaning round, so i dont do many , so i was thinking of a MEC POWER 13HP.....

If i was a full time powerwasher, i would have the best gear, as i do with my window cleaning and gutter wash set up

As it is , i feel a 13hp 3000psi 250 bar should be adequate.

I use a Clarke pls260 I picked up nearly new for 300 on eBay. In its 3rd year and never let me down. 19ltr 250 bar.

The problem with the Mac and others mentioned is that they are considered throw away and may be good enough for an add on but nobody would commit to saying how good they are or how long they will last because we all try and avoid them.

I don't think people are being stand offish on this one, I know Lee Kenny, Lee @ Blastaway, Matt, Dave, Rhinoman, me, Jaespray and others all have half decent machines and the ones mentioned wouldn't eve be considered

Good luck with whatever you choose - I would still go on a second hand diesel one!!

I have a Honda petrol 13hp 21 L ws202. I started with a nilfisk 230v alto maxi which I still use for small jobs and hard to get to places. The Honda did cost a fair bit, but its performance is brilliant and looks the part turning up at customers doors. I use these too as an add on to my main business. and if I can afford the best for the best results I will buy it.

I think somebody new into the game may have a little nervous apprehension about buying 2nd hand as possibly wouldn't recognise a duff machine before handing coins over. wherefore you guys who have been doing it a long time would know a good one from a bad one, I'm new in and out to buy and possibly going for the Rapier 22lpm from Malcleanse, can someone kindly explain the difference between bar and lpm, the machine I'm going for is 21lpm but only 170 bar, or could someone perhaps take a look at it and let me know if a good choice or not, it's a Honda 390 with a rapier gearbox from what I understand, many thanks
