Description of the contract:
The awarding authority invites all suitably qualified companies to tender for a
comprehensive deep clean service to all its kitchen areas. This includes a total
of 30 kitchens across 12 different site locations situated across Lincolnshire
and Yorkshire.
It is highly recommended that Tenderers make site visits to enable them to
provide a competitive quote. Visits should be arranged via the Facilities

a yearly basis.
All work is to be carried out during July and August due to building occupation
during term time.
The successful contractor will be required to deliver (but not be restricted to)
the following:
i. On successfully being awarded the Tender, provide a deep clean process to the
entire kitchen area. This must be inclusive of all extraction systems
(canopies, filters and ducting), cooking equipment (cookers, grills, fryers,
griddles, steamers),
ancillary equipment (kitchen tables, fridges, sinks, racks & work surfaces), and
servery areas (hot cupboards, bain maries, display units, serving counters).
ii. Ensure the cleaning service provided covers all floors, walls, fixtures,
fittings, high level work, lights, pipework, grease traps and behind equipment.
iii. Ensure all loose equipment and components are soaked in carbon removal
tanks.
iv. Ensure all kitchen areas are de-carbonised.
v. Ensure The Group Estates Department are provided with a certificate of
hygiene upon the successful completion of each kitchen deep clean.
vi. Each kitchen listed on every site requires a full deep clean service to fit
around business operating hours. The vast majority of this work would be out of
educational term time in the month of August, or alternatively during unsociable
hours (between
2100 and 0600).
vii. The successful Tenderer must have the facility and staffing levels carry
out the work in a timescale acceptable to GIG and the ability to de-carbonise
all kitchen areas subject to carbonisation.
The successful Tenderer will ensure that their company and The Group adheres to
its legal responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. The
complete service should enable The Group to abide by the Food Standards Act
1999, EU Food Hygiene
Legislation 2006, Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order and HVCA TR/19 by
delivering an exceptional service.

Interviews The Group reserve the right to hold interviews, scoring will be
adjusted accordingly ? see below. If held they will be 16/05/13 or within 5
working days.
