proper old skool flu just as i was gonna start back on 2nd jan then this cold and chest infection thats been coming on over the last few days.

im bang up to date workwise so having today off wont do me any harm but with working outside for 25 years im usually unlucky if i get one normal cold all year!

must be getting old!!anyone else had more colds/viruses/flu than normal??

i feel like crap.day off with feet up methinks.

Much the same as you Daz. I don't normally get colds & flu but have had some sort of virus twice this year already!!

last one was about 2 weeks ago and I couldn't stop coughing sometimes. It was even waking me up during the night most nights.

Yep been with me for the last 3 days....just walked down to the bank and I'm fooked now...

Since I quit smoking 8 months ago my immune system has fought off all cold and flu type viruses. I'd usually get a couple of chest infections per year but none since last year. (Touch wood)

But.....I'm off to see the chiropractor / physiotherapist after lunch to hopefully get my back muscles re-aligned after injuring them over a week ago. I literally couldn't stand up on Saturday due to the pain

i had a rough night last night rg1.

about 4 hours sleep.kept waking up coughing.throat and chest in a world of pain!!im in 2 minds whether to go doctors for some antibiotics.

then after a coughing fit im drifting off to sleep on my back then feel a trickle of watery snot dripping from my nose waking me up again!!

think im gonna go back to bed now!!

I had it for nearly 3 weeks so a visit to the Doctor for some antibiotics is probably a good idea.

Antibiotics don't work on a virus.
If you've got a chest infection then yes

Yes, two bouts of virus and ear infection, just get rid of the first and laid low with the second.

Maybe you've got something wrong with your immune system, Daz?  It happens.  How's your joints?  Arthritis can be a sign of an immune system problem too; so any aches?  Cancer is another sign too; any lumps?

feel a bit better now as long as i dont cough!lol!

forced myself to have a shave and shower at 4pm.then filled up with pure for tomorrow whilst havin a chat with a neighbour.did a bit of food shopping.early night now ready for work in the morning.

easyish day tomorrow.block of housing association flats to clean and a few 3 bed semis.

Yup I'm getting over it.

Three weeks ago Mrs had it as flu. Then daughter 3 as a cold. Then me then daughter 1 and now daughter 2.

Last week I even sent Dan the Man out on his own day one and two and then I did a good day and a half day before coughing and spluttering all weekend.

Did a good day today but "not quite right".

Like Tosh says, prolly cancer or imminent stroke ...
