I reported it earlier on today. Ebay has 10 million items for sale in the uk and it's the weekend! It says that the listing has ended because the item is no longer available, did Ebay take it down I wonder? I hope no one thinks they have bought it.

There are not a lot of carpet cleaners in that area. Perhaps John Kelly knows the machine.

What's that machine worth then?  About £3K?

I'd never heard of this type of scam before.

Its very common. Once hapenned to us. They had a porsche worth 20k advertised for 4. It even had all our contact details on. We had 52 phonecalls that day asking if it was genuine.

Disgusting... and Ebay take absolutely no action! it was only because of friends sending the suspect seller messages whch pressured him in to removing the auction... Ebay did nothing to help me..

Russ - remember that bargain Truvox rotary I said I had won ?

I went to pick it up on Monday night and the guy tells me it's not working.
"But it's brand new" I said.
"No, it's a refurb but I can't get it to work now"

This guy works for a cleaning company - I reckon he's nicked it from work and thought he would make a few quid, then when it only sold for £100 on ebay he's tried to back out.

He's lucky I didn't chin him, and as he's only 15 minutes up the road from me, I'm not going to let it go.

You know when something sounds too good to be true?
So many con artists out there just out to stitch anyone up it would seem... Ebay nor the police could give a toss...
Report the guy to his cleaning company Steve!!!
