hi guys could you let me know what i should expect to pay around for a 5 page site that had a payment page , just one or 2 email addresses and a good host?

most of what ive checked look very basic templatey looking and still want 300quid.
even the pay monthly ones look basic or end up being 40-50 quid a month.

yes theres stuff like moonfruit but that and others like it - i dont think portatays a very professional image.

any ideas best places to and what deals are about - not keen on 1on1 coz of some reviews and also all these template things never cater for carpet cleaning or window cleaning particularly well.

iv had a Vistaprint website a little over 3 yrs now ,about 7 quid a month for 3 pages, iv never regretted it  and raked in loadsa good work from it.  I heard about websites from vistaprint on this very forum,some Yorkshire lad  had one and said was good

Hosting shouldn't cost much at all - a few quid a month should get you a great package. I do hosting myself & will be doing a special offer for window cleaners in the next couple of days.  

Add a decent template (About £45 off www.templatemonster.com) some decent & original photo's & the basic essential SEO bits & you can do a DIY site on a very tight budget.

If you want a site built for you, I'd normally charge £375 for a 5 or 6 page site with paypal, e-mails, responsive phone friendly design, etc etc.

how did you manage that for £7... £18 mines gone upto now  

mines  always been about 7 quid give or take a few pennies .  iv just looked,its actually 8.25 im paying ,not a bad increase in 3 yrs, that's the standard package . you must have the "premium" package with all the extra features at 18 quid.  still small change in this day and age  you wont put a single ad in a local paper for that sort of  money

I believe its 3 or 4 quid for just a single page website .

you must have upgraded to the premium package. maybe you've gotta blog ?   heres a tip if you do ring up vistaprint,dont ring on your mobile because if you do you will pay top dollar ,I found this out ,you are actually ringing a number in Barbados! where the call centre is
 
only use a landline to phone and then you get charged local rate only.

yes has the blog on it and I'm guessing by what ur saying that's why there charging me £18.
I do get 1 or 2 callers a month for connies and gutter vac.

I recommended someone before £85 for a 5 page site.payment page and a years hosting but nobody was bothered.
